The Intersectoral Emergency Response Mechanism (MIRE) is a consortium supported by the Office of Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection of the European Union.
It is made up of 5 humanitarian organizations that work to alleviate the most urgent humanitarian needs of those affected by the armed conflict and the consequences of the pandemic in Colombia.

We work with the displaced population and confined communities, facilitating their access to health care, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), food, shelter, education in emergencies, and protection. MIRE is designed to reach the most hard-to-reach territories in Colombia. Our mobile teams move quickly to respond to humanitarian emergencies. Our mobile capacity makes it possible to attend emergencies simultaneously in different locations throughout Colombia.

Using our expertise in information management, we continually monitor the humanitarian situation and maintain coordination with local authorities. In this way, we identify gaps in the humanitarian response, ensuring we meet the needs of the population and complement the assistance provided by the state during emergencies.

Given the increase in people forced to flee due to the armed conflict, your support is important. Share our stories to make the consequences of the armed conflict in Colombia more visible.

This consortium is implemented by Action Against Hunger (ACH), Alliance for Solidarity (APS), the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), Médecins du Monde Colombia (MdM) and ACAPS.
